Abstract

The correct use of information sources is vital in the work of journalists. Today, there is an excessive use of institutional sources in journalistic practice. His vision is prioritizes over the rest and they occupy the main spaces of the pages of newspapers. If we take an event like the catastrophe of the Prestige, we find that these sources maintain their presence and weight in the informational texts, despite the media come to question the data provided by them. This means that the presence of other actors is reduced.
