The growing importance of the Latin vote in the presidential elections of the United States of America
Abstract
The increase of the U.S. Hispanic population surpasses even the most optimistic forecasts. The candidates continue to improve their strategies in order to persuade Latin voters. These people, who are aware of their potential, have got together with the objective of increasing their presence and political influence. Assuming the observation of the evolution of the population in the U.S. and the description of the different entities, groups and networks that defend the Hispanics, this article analyzesthe developments of the election campaigns, messages and media resources to immigrants in presidential elections, in order to describe the increasingly strategic role of this target in the electoral planning communication in the country.Keywords
