Eficàcia dels efectes auditius i visuals de les revistes digitals xineses en el procés de lectura dels estudiants universitaris

Vivim en una societat digital, on constantment sorgeixen tecnologies noves, i les velles s’actualitzen més ràpidament del que, sovint, podem assimilar. En aquest context, el format digital s’ha convertit en un mitjà important de lectura, si bé el procés visual de la lectura digital i de la lectura tradicional (en paper) és diferent. Amb la tècnica del seguiment ocular (eye tracking), un disseny ortogonal i l’aplicació del model estadístic de regressió, aquest treball analitza el moviment ocular dels subjectes quan llegeixen una revista digital, que conté estímuls visuals i auditius, en xinès. Es crea una revista experimental i se seleccionen a l’atzar 80 estudiants. Tots els subjectes participen en la mateixa situació experimental, però amb diferents condicions d’estimulació; durant l’experimentació els participants llegeixen textos curts de la revista digital mentre els seus moviments oculars s’enregistren per mitjà de l’eye tracking; en acabar responen un qüestionari de comprensió. Els resultats més importants, analitzats en termes de fixacions oculars, mostren que el text doblegat i el color de fons tenen un efecte significatiu en la comprensió lectora del text. En general, els resultats obtinguts revelen un millor coneixement del processament visual i cognitiu de la lectura de la revista digital i es poden aplicar al disseny d’aquest tipus de revistes. No obstant això, cal dur a terme estudis interculturals específics i unificar les unitats de mesura tant dels paràmetres de l’eye tracker com de l’eficàcia lectora.
